چکیده
Plant secondary metabolites in Tetrapleuratetraptera fruit meal (TTFM) could be exploited as natural safe feed additives alternative to non- nutritive chemical and antibiotics enhance rumen fermentation utilization efficiency with negative oxidative stress. The study investigated the responses of West African Dwarf (WAD) rams diets containing varying levels supplemental Tetrapleura tetraptera on status thermo-physiological parameters. Thirty five (35) WAD an average live weight 13.20±0.2 kg were used a completely randomized design for 140 days. Five concentrate (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 2.0 %) TTFM formulated while Panicum maximum was fed basal diet. rectal temperature, pulse rate respiratory measured at two week intervals blood collected through jugular veins onset end feeding trial determine parameters terms superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase, thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS).Data subjected one way Analysis Variance (ANOVA). No significant difference observed (p>0.05) temperature breathing increased significantly (p<0.05) till 12th experiment. Increased lowered recorded trial. It therefore concluded that inclusion up 2 % level reduced stress experimental animals coupled better

A study was carried out to evaluate nutrient intake and digestibility by West African Dwarf (WAD) sheep fed graded levels of dietary pigeon pea seed meal (PSM). Four diets designated A, B, C and D were formulated to contain 0, 10, 20, and 30% levels of PSM, respectively. Four WAD rams aged between 15 and 17 months and weighing between 16 and 19 kg were used to conduct digestibility study in a 4...

The performance and economics of production of West African Dwarf (WAD) sheep was investigated in an experiment that lasted for 70 days. Twelve male sheep averaging 9.9 kg in liveweight and aged 7 9 months were randomly assigned to four treatment groups in a completely randomized design with three animals per treatment. Chemical composition of diets, intake, liveweight gain and cost implication...
